We write original score and sound design for advertising, film, television, and documentary. Every note that leaves this studio was written by a person. A good share of it starts on an old upright that survived a fire, got painted black, and had four-letter words written across it in a public school before it landed in this studio.

Merit was founded by composer Stephen Keech. He spent ten years touring the world, fronting Haste the Day and playing bass in As Cities Burn, before trading the stage for the studio. Since then his music has carried campaigns for Marvel, Spectracide, Bad Boy Mowers, and Dollar General, and has been heard in Grey's Anatomy, Anyone But You, and Jesus Revolution. Variety singled out his score for The Ballad of Davy Crockett.
